Over the past 16 years, our Founder & CEO, Peter Escarcega, has honed his craft alongside some of the brightest minds in storytelling and animation. Beginning his journey in the world of video game cinematics, Peter’s talent and vision soon opened doors to a successful tenure at Mattel. Under the mentorship of Julia Pistor (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Lemony Snicket’s, SpongeBob SquarePants), he played a pivotal role in reimagining the Barbie brand. His work helped empower the iconic character, inspiring young girls and women around the world.  

Peter Escarcega’s passion is bringing innovative stories to life.  During the pandemic, Peter joined forces with acclaimed director Rob Minkoff (The Lion King, The Haunted Mansion, Stuart Little) to produce the visually stunning family action-comedy Paws of Fury, starring Michael Cera, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ricky Gervais and executive produced by the legendary Mel Brooks.

Building on this success, Peter has joined Rob on several of his projects in development. Among them, two animated features, and a series about a teenage rock band battling an alien invasion, co-created by Rob and legendary rock star Nikki Sixx.

Looking ahead, myth. has an exciting slate of projects in the works. These include a collaboration with a globally successful merchandising IP and an adaptation of a best-selling children’s book.
